Have you seen punch needle fiber art on your social media feed and thought I’d love to try that!  Well then, sign up for this beginner punch needle workshop taught by Sue Colton, a gallery artist here at Last Art Gallery. 

If you haven’t seen it yet, punch needle is a traditional rug making technique that dates back centuries.  A punch needle is a hollow needle that creates loops of thread or yarn in a woven fabric to create a tightly woven textile.  This technique can be used to create beautiful works of art that can be made into pillows, rugs, wall hangings, coasters and more!

Fiber art is very tactile and so creating these pieces is incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.  Sue will walk you through the selection of a design and the process of preparing your piece, transferring your design and creating your own piece of art to take home with you!

All materials are included in the $15 supply fee, due on the day of the workshop.
