Joni Lavalette is an acrylic fluid artist living in McKinney, TX.  After spending most of her career in IT, she retired early to focus on her creative side.  She enjoys several art mediums, but fluid art has become her passion due to its inherent unpredictability yet opportunity for amazing and beautiful outcomes.

She often utilizes color-shifting pigments and paints in her artwork, making her pieces a must-see in person to appreciate the full effect.  Her current focus is a new series of artwork she calls her ‘Gilded Series’.  By incorporating a solvent-based paint along with acrylics, she adds an additional texture and dimension to her work.

Most recently, Joni has expanded her work into functional pieces:  lazy susan turntables, tile coasters, small accent tables and tile trivets.
