Joshua Rhodes…

Oils have always been my medium of choice since I started painting. I like to use various types of canvas and practice various techniques using palette knives and paint scrapers.

Starting a new creation is always an exciting adventure! I never know where a piece is going to take me, whom I will meet and the path it will take me down. It is truly amazing the opportunities that manifest through art; the relationships formed and ideas exchanged. The thought that any of my pieces could end up being a part of your home is humbling and exhilarating. All of these things make every moment I am painting enjoyable.

I grew up drawing and sketching. I went through AP art in high school in Frisco TX, focusing primarily on flowers and other flora using colored pencils. My studies in college, however, lead me to a life and career in science and philosophy which I also loved. In the end though, the desire to create has transgressed any other I have felt. I feel I am finally pursuing my purpose! I would love for you to be a part of that.
