Melinda is an established mixed media fine artist and storyteller whose work invites viewers into richly detailed worlds filled with color, texture, humor, whimsy, and light. Her present-day work is colorful, stunning, and truly a must-see — alive with story, movement, detail, and imagination.

Her work reflects the beauty she sees in everyday life — bees at work, hummingbirds moving between flowers, fathers playing with their children, devoted dogs and their humans, and countless moments of connection. Many pieces feel like fantastical scenes viewers can lose themselves in, inviting them to walk toward the light within the artwork.

In addition to original works and signed archival prints, Melinda creates commissioned artwork for collectors seeking meaningful, personal pieces. Her signed prints are personally printed on archival cotton rag paper, and many works are accompanied by time-lapse videos on Whitten Arts Instagram, allowing viewers to watch each piece develop from start to finish — no AI, just the artist’s hand, imagination, process, and light.
