About
Veronica Fernandez…
is a Mexican-born mixed-media artist based in Texas. Using stones, branches, sea glass, flowers, and other natural materials, she creates poetic artwork that explores nature, memory, healing, and human connection. She believes ordinary objects can carry extraordinary meaning.
Her whimsical, story-driven compositions combine natural elements with illustration and mixed media. Birds often appear as symbols of freedom, resilience, and hope. Inspired by nature, changing seasons, and everyday discoveries, her work reflects themes of family, belonging, migration, love, and finding beauty in imperfection. She rarely returns from a walk without a pocket full of natural treasures that may become part of her next artwork.
An artist since childhood, Veronica studied Graphic Design in Mexico City and continued her artistic education through workshops in Mexico and the United States. Her work with natural materials is largely self-taught, shaped by years of exploration and a lifelong connection with nature.
In 2025, after the passing of her father while she was unable to return to Mexico because of her immigration process, Veronica turned to art as a way to grieve and heal. Creating with stones, branches, flowers, and other gifts from nature became a language for emotions she could not express with words. She hopes each piece offers peace, curiosity, and emotional connection.
Today, every artwork includes a small star—her father's star—as a quiet tribute to his memory and a reminder that love, resilience, and those we cherish continue to guide us. Through her work, she hopes others find comfort, hope, and connection.
Her artwork is part of private collections throughout the United States, Mexico, Italy, and other countries.
